More about Samantha...
Samantha is originally from Fresno, CA. In Fresno, Samantha grew up and identified her passion for theatre through her performing and choreography for Children’s Musical Theatreworks. At CMT, she choreographed musical theatre productions with a cast of over 60 children, ranging from 5years of age to 12years of age. Through CMT, Samantha has made it a lifetime goal to give children the same passion and education within the arts that she found at a young age. While working and performing at CMT, Samantha was also an active member of her High School’s Theatre Department as well as captain of the Varsity Dance Team. In 2009, Samantha moved to Santa Clara, California to attend Santa Clara University. During her time at Santa Clara, Samantha has performed in, choreographed, and directed productions. Through her four years at Santa Clara, she has been trained by her professors in acting, voice, dance, lighting, costume construction, design, dramaturgy, and directing. In her spare time, she was an active member of an after school program called “Arts Reach” in which she traveled to Sacred Heart Community Service’s Homework Club and played theatre games and activities with the students. Samantha also worked on voice training with individuals from the Northern California Innocence Project, and once again was reminded of the value of theatre for people in all aspects of life. Recently, Samantha Graduated from Santa Clara University, with honors, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and a minor in dance. She held leadership positions both on and off stage in clubs and different organizations across the Santa Clara campus. Ultimately, Samantha’s goal is to take all she has learned throughout her life and use it towards developing her craft and influencing others in a positive way. She is currently auditioning around the Bay Area looking for opportunities to perform, is the Artistic Director of a non-profit theatre company called The Audacity Performing Arts Project, Inc., and is the Project Manager for Santa Clara University's Arts for Social Justice Program.
